One of the greatest things about Kenya, is that every region has its own culture. It makes Kenya a melting pot in East Africa. There are many types of crafts and art work that Kenya has, but some are more popular than others. We will be presenting an overview of the most popular arts of Kenya.
The History and Empowerment of Arts of Kenya
Kenyan arts and crafts reflect Kenya's rich heritage and culture. Kenyan artists can create stunning works of art that reflect their cultures and traditions.
The precolonial era is when Kenyan tribes first settled the country. This is where the history of Kenyan arts & crafts can be traced. Each tribe had its own culture and traditions which were reflected through their art and craft work. Western influences entered Kenya after it became a British colony. It resulted in a mixture of Western and traditional styles.
There has been a revival of interest in traditional arts of Kenya over recent years as people attempt to reconnect with their cultural roots. This has allowed Kenyan artists to be empowered and sell their work around the world.
The country's history and the empowerment of artists is an important part its culture and heritage. We can preserve this important aspect Kenyan society by supporting Kenyan artists.
Symbols and Objects of Cultural Valor

The following are some of Kenya's most beloved symbols and objects with cultural value:

• Kikuyu Thangi: Kenya's largest ethnic group. The Thangi is a traditional Kikuyu dress. It is made out of brightly colored cloth, and has intricate beadwork. Thangi is a symbol representing womanhood. It plays an important part in Kikuyu ceremonies, as well the development of local arts of Kenya.
• Samburu sandals: The Samburu is a nomadic tribe that lives in northern Kenya. The Samburu are well-known for their handcrafted sandals made from leather, decorated with shells or beads, and are well-known for their exquisite sandals. Samburu sandals can be used for practical purposes, but they also allow the wearer to express their individuality and self-identity.
